I am Ouissam Abattouy (pronounce as Oui-sem), a PhD candidate at Dynamics of Youth at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. I have been awarded with the NWO Mosaic 2.0 grant to research the relationship between adolescents and their parents during the transition to adulthood. Specifically, I examine the negotiation of autonomy and relatedness, as well as the socio-cultural factors at play in immigration contexts that influence this.
